What NoticeDept is

NoticeDept is a self-help document preparation and mailing service. We provide letter templates, state rule summaries with statute citations, and a print-mail-track-archive service. We are not a law firm, we are not your attorney, and nothing on this site is legal advice. We do not review your situation, evaluate your case, or advise you on what to send. Templates and rule summaries are general information; you decide what to send and are responsible for its accuracy and its consequences. If you need legal advice, consult a licensed attorney in your state.

State rules and citations

We summarize state notice rules with citations to the underlying statutes and link to them so you can verify for yourself. Entries marked as draft have not completed our verification review. Statutes change, and local ordinances may add requirements state law doesn't. We review our data periodically, but you are responsible for confirming the rules that apply to your situation.

Your responsibilities

You confirm that the information in your letters is accurate to your knowledge, that recipient addresses are correct, and that your use is lawful. You may not use the service to harass, threaten, or defraud anyone, to send letters you know contain false statements, or to impersonate others. We may refuse or cancel any mailing that appears abusive or unlawful, with a refund of anything unmailed.

Payments, refunds, and credits

Prices are shown before checkout; payment is per letter (or prepaid letter-credit packs) with no subscription. If a paid letter has not yet been sent to print, contact us and we'll refund it. Once a letter is in production or mailed, it cannot be recalled and is not refundable. Prepaid credits never expire and are non-refundable but unused-credit refund requests within 30 days of purchase will be honored. If we fail to mail something you paid for, we refund it — that one's on us.

Mail delivery

Printing and mailing are performed through commercial print partners and the United States Postal Service. We archive proof of mailing and tracking events, but we do not control USPS and cannot guarantee delivery dates, delivery itself, or a recipient's signature. Certified mail refused or unclaimed by the recipient is a USPS outcome, not a service failure.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us for the mailing giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including the outcome of any dispute, case, or tenancy your letter relates to.

Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password secure. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy — deletion includes your evidence archive).

General

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma. If we change these terms materially, we'll update the effective date above; continued use after changes is acceptance. Questions: support@noticedept.com.
